with the droprate update it's near impossible to farm anything unless you go out in a group with real peeps. can't farm with just henchies anymore. even if you go out by yourself with some kind of build and solo it the drop rate sux. Look at the EOTN gloves that require 250 destroyer cores to get. I've killed countless destroyers and have had about 10 cores drop. Kinda takes the fun out of it when it seems like a never ending farm to be able to get an item.

They offer a max armor for each profession.
It's a no choice on looks thing, but a max armor none the less.

ive never known a game have a credit crunch till this past 6 months where people moan if they gotta spend more than 10k on ANYTHING.

/signed purely because ritualists and sins etc have such limited choice to armour compared to the rest of the core classes. Removing a choice like that seems unnecessary.

Yeah... but Kaineng's the port town and you'd have to get there first to pick up the quest - assuming you're a Factions character, of course.

Alot of crap doesn't make sense and/or are imbalanced in this game; this is just one out of a plethora of deficiencies in this game that Anet has never bothered fixing because they could really care less tbh... They just don't get paid well enough to be proactive or read any of our threads (that.. and there're too many kiddies opening up threads and suggesting such useless changes for this game as well that Anet probably gets turned right OFF and never bother to click into any threads at this point.. esp. with GW2 on the table..).

Umm... but Kaineng is also the place you get this armor. It occurs at the same time (minus the really easy EOTN port quest which takes 5 minutes). And again, there are 2 other max armors available in KC, as well as Exotic and Imperial right there in the city. Everybody keeps harping on how we have to "help the new players who can't afford it" when new players can get armor easily anyways.
If you want something, spend your money. There is no reason to hoard money.

This is regular 1k armor we're talking about here, it's not supposed to cost more than 10k even if you include materials...
